AHA at the Capitol Pride Parade

AHA showed the non-religious communities’ support for the LGBT community this Sunday at the annual Capitol Pride Parade. We put out a call on our blog and Facebook and were happy to see a great turnout from our group! We made colorful signs, a banner for the group, and even had Jesus Christ himself show up to march with us.

Here are some pictures of AHA members at the event.

We are always excited to use our group to fight for equality and human rights. It was heartening to see the diversity of people that came to the event to support the cause of the LGBT community. Local businesses, community groups, and religious organizations were out in force on Sunday for the parade, and we were proud to stand alongside them.

AHA Loves Gay Pride, Parades

Hey everyone,

We here at AHA HQ hope you are having a wonderful summer. If you’re back in town, we have an exciting opportunity for anyone who loves equality.  AHA is proud to be an official sponsor of the 2012 Wisconsin Capitol Pride Parade!

We’re hoping to have a strong showing at the event, so any AHA members and friends who want to march with us are more than welcome. (Plus, we all know you won’t be in church on a Sunday morning, so no excuses!)

For the artistic types, we will be meeting before the parade starts to create signs and banners. We will bring the supplies, you bring the creativity. Meet at 10:30 on Hamilton Street, north of the capitol. Look for people wearing the beige-colored AHA t-shirts.

What: Wisconsin Capitol Pride Parade.
When: This Sunday, August 19th. The parade starts at 12:00 PM; meet at 10:30 AM.
